Firma.dev Now Speaks Greek: Full Language and Signature Support

Greek support in Firma.dev isn't a translation layer dropped on top of an English interface. It covers the entire platform: every screen, button, notification, and signing flow, through to how signatures look on the signed document itself. Greek-speaking users can work entirely in their language without a single English label getting in the way.

Greek Is Now a First-Class Language in Firma.dev

From the dashboard and template editor to the signing flow and account settings, every part of the platform is translated into Greek. Teams operating in Greece or Cyprus can set their workspace to Greek and hand their customers a signing experience that feels native, not localized as an afterthought.

The language setting works at the workspace level, which means partners serving multinational customers can configure each customer workspace independently. A Greek workspace sends Greek emails and shows a Greek interface. A German workspace does the same in German. No per-user configuration, no manual overrides needed.

Greek Script Signatures

When a signer's name is in Greek, Firma.dev detects it automatically and presents signature styles built for the Greek alphabet. The Zen Kurenaido handwriting font provides full Greek Extended coverage, including accented characters like ά, ί, ό, and ύ, so names like Χριστόφορος or Αικατερίνη render correctly rather than falling back to a generic Latin rendering.

Italic and plain fallbacks via Noto Sans are always available alongside the cursive styles, giving every signer a professional option regardless of preference.

Detection is automatic. Firma.dev reads the Unicode in each signer's name and switches to Greek script before the signature modal opens. No settings to configure, no language packs to install. If a signer needs to switch, a single dropdown gives them access to any of Firma.dev's five supported script families.

Why Greece and Cyprus Now

EU eIDAS adoption is driving real demand for legally valid electronic signatures across Greece and Cyprus, particularly in legal, financial, and professional services. Remote work and cross-border contracting have accelerated the shift. Professionals in these markets expect tools that work in their language and render their names correctly, and historically most e-signature platforms haven't delivered that.

Firma.dev supports eIDAS-aligned signing at the SES and AdES levels, which covers the vast majority of commercial and legal use cases in Greece and Cyprus. Combined with full Greek language support, that makes Firma.dev a practical choice for SaaS companies building for these markets.

Part of a Broader Language Expansion

Greek is the seventh language Firma.dev supports, joining English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, and German. It's also the third non-Latin script family supported alongside Cyrillic, Japanese, and Korean, bringing the total to five.

For developers, none of this requires integration changes. The same API calls that work for English signers work for Greek ones. Language and script handling happen at the platform level, automatically, based on workspace settings and signer name detection. Building for a Greek market is the same codebase as building for any other.
