How to Add E-Signatures to Your Cloudflare App

If your app runs on Cloudflare, adding legally binding e-signatures is straightforward with Firma.dev. Whether you're using Cloudflare Workers, Pages, or both, the integration works with the same API and takes your development team hours rather than weeks.
This guide covers the business-side picture: what the integration enables, how it fits into your stack, and what to tell your developers. For the full technical walkthrough with code examples, head to the Cloudflare integration guide on our docs.
Why Cloudflare + Firma.dev
Cloudflare is one of the most popular platforms for deploying fast, globally distributed web applications. A lot of SaaS products, internal tools, and customer-facing apps run on Cloudflare Workers or Pages already. If yours does, Firma.dev slots in without adding new infrastructure.
Your developers call the Firma.dev API directly from your existing Cloudflare code. There's no separate signing server to manage, no SDK to install, and no additional services to maintain. The e-signature logic lives alongside the rest of your application logic.
At €0.029 per envelope (~3 cents USD), the cost stays predictable even as your signing volume grows. No monthly minimums, no contracts, no per-user fees. You pay for what you send.
What the integration covers
The Cloudflare integration supports the full Firma.dev signing workflow:
Sending documents for signature. Your app creates a signing request using one of your pre-built templates, specifies the recipients, and Firma.dev handles delivery. This can be triggered by any event in your application, whether that's a user clicking a button, a form submission, or an automated process.
Embedded signing. If you want signers to complete documents directly inside your app rather than in a seperate email flow, Firma.dev provides an embeddable e-signature experience. It loads inside your existing UI so your users never leave your product.
Tracking completions. When a document is signed, Firma.dev sends a webhook notification back to your Cloudflare app. Your code can then update a database, trigger a follow-up workflow, send a confirmation email, or do whatever your business process requires.
Multi-tenant setups. If you're building a SaaS product where each of your customers needs their own signing workflow, customer workspaces for multi-tenant e-signatures give each customer an isolated environment with their own templates, branding, and usage tracking.
Two integration paths
Cloudflare offers two ways to run server-side code, and Firma.dev works with both:
Workers are standalone serverless functions. They're a good fit if your app is API-driven or if you're adding signing to an existing service that doesn't use Cloudflare Pages.
Pages Functions are serverless functions that deploy alongside a Cloudflare Pages site. If your frontend already lives on Pages, this keeps everything in one project and one deployment pipeline.
Both paths use the same Firma.dev API endpoints. The choice depends on how your app is already structured, not on anything Firma.dev-specific. Your developers can review both approaches in the technical integration guide.
Security and compliance
Documents signed through Firma.dev are legally binding under the ESIGN Act and UETA in the United States, and support SES and Advanced Electronic Signatures (AdES) under eIDAS in Europe. All data is hosted on AWS infrastructure in the EU (Paris region) with CloudFront distribution from Stockholm.
